Damien Doran is a man who has overcome numerous challenges and turned his experiences into opportunities to help others. Born in Chicago and raised in a private Catholic school, Damien moved to Green Bay in the 7th grade and learned the importance of resilience and determination as one of the only kids of color in his new school. These lessons served him well when he faced difficulties later in life, including stints in both juvenile and adult prisons. However, Damien refused to let these setbacks define him. He has excelled in corporate America as a cell phone sales manager and pursued entrepreneurship, always striving to better himself and those around him. As a single dad to his son, Damien values the importance of education and recently earned an applied science associates degree in digital media technology. He is also a passionate lover of music and movies and loves to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others, especially children. Damien has volunteered for Junior Achievement and has worked with kids at the Boys and Girls Club, using his unique background and skills to help young people make positive choices and avoid trauma-based decisions. He also plans to use his audio engineering skills to teach kids how to mix, master, and record music, sharing his love of music with the next generation. In the future, Damien hopes to inspire others as an author, mentor to his peers, and a motivational speaker, using his experiences and insights to help others overcome their own challenges and reach their full potential.
